Hey there all,
With a few more days to go on my trip. I decided to head up to the north coast for a few days.
Firstly let me tell you unless you are a "daredevil", using the local transportation is not recommended.
It's all about speed with these drivers, as time is money, so they drive like a bat out of he'll and take risks that an average driver wouldn't take.
I am a daredevil chick, however due to the fact that many people would be upset if I was to leave this world right now, I decided to take a more sedate form of travel.
Jamaica has a service called the "Knutsford Express" a bit like the National Express coach service, it's is suppose to be an executive travel service, however as you will learn if you ever travel here - their definition of executive and luxury travel will differ from your definition dramatically.
In all fairness I was comfortable and it was like a National express coach, and the driver was extremely competent and I arrived safely in one piece, so I am grateful :)
The journey took longer than expected - but I prefer to arrive safely rather than not at all.
The service runs between new Kingston, Ochi Rios, Montego Bay and back again, it's a must experience as you travel between the locations, you see Jamaica at it's best with views that are outstanding.
Until da next Tyme!

2011 Travel plans!!
Hey there all,
It's the start of 2011, another year, more places to explore....
2010 wasn't much of a travel year for me, but this year I want to try new places and step outside the box, I will be visiting my old faithfuls such as Egypt, and Miami as I need the heat, but I will be exploring new areas such as :
Puerto Rico
Tanzania
Germany
Cuba
I am such a travel junkie and if you are in any of the areas that I plan to visit, feel free to hit me up with the best places to visit, eat or just explore.
Hopefully you will all be travelling with me on travel exploits in the next 12 months !
Until da next Tyme!

How not to gain weight on holiday !
Hey peeps,
It's an inevitable fact of life for many of us that when we return home after our holidays, we're packing excess baggage in more than just our suitcase! Two weeks of sun, fun and an endless stream of cocktails, ice creams, heaped portions and treats can really pack on the pounds. But if you follow a few simple steps, keeping excess weight off while you're away can be fun, not a chore…
1. All-inclusive does not mean all-you-can-eat!
It's hard to resist the temptation to 'get your money’s worth' when you're on an all-inclusive break, but all those heaped bowls of pasta salads glistening with fat-packed mayo, chips and stodgy rice aren't going to do anything but add weight. Go for portion control and don't fill up on bread! Pick a small plate (studies show that if you choose a big plate, you'll eat more, regardless of how hungry you are) and limit yourself to no more than one trip to the buffet! Go for grilled, BBQ and steamed foods over fried. Pick fresh fruit and veg over processed foods.

2. Set yourself a challenge
One new type of exercise a day. It could be beach volleyball, horse riding, trying a spot of body boarding or even visiting the hotel gym or joining in an aqua-aerobics class. The important thing is to do something which raises your heart rate, so no, crazy golf doesn't count!

3. Just say no... to lifts and escalators
You'd be amazed at what a difference taking the stairs could have and it's not just an easy way to keep your weight down, it could even lengthen your life. According to scientists from the University of Geneva, taking the stairs cuts the risk of premature death by 15%, by lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

4. Invest in a pedometer
According to the experts, for a healthy long life, we're meant to take 10,000 steps a day. Unfortunately, most of us tend to live pretty lazy lives and barely clock up even half of that. Challenge the family every day to see who can take the most steps. You're almost guaranteed to hear no moans if you make the prize a good one!

5. Introduce a new tradition of an after-dinner walk
Not only will it bulk up that daily step count, but it will also help you digest your food better, and boost your metabolism, which should help you burn fat faster. Your metabolism is slow at night and a 15-minute walk after dinner will help give your metabolism a boost.

6. Make a deal
Each hour that you spend lazing by the pool or beach will end with five minutes exercise. That could be cooling off by swimming in the pool, doing crunches or even hula-hooping! You'd be amazed at how it adds up, and that Pina Colada will taste all the better for being guilt-free!

7. Drink more water
It's easy to get dehydrated on holiday, so try to get into the habit of drinking 6-8 glasses of water every day. Some studies have shown that it's easy for your body to confuse the signs of thirst for being hungry, so have a glass of water whenever you're tempted to start snacking. Make sure that every meal begins with a tall glass of water too, a great way to feel less hungry, and also by keeping well-hydrated, your metabolism increases, which burns fat faster.

8. Pedal power!
One of the best ways to see any new place is by bike. Most resorts will have cycle-hire and many hotels offer free bikes to their guests. Have fun planning ahead before you go to find some scenic cycle routes. Nothing beats coasting along the seafront by bike - you'll keep cool, dodge the traffic, have no parking problems and you can indulge without packing on the pounds. If you're cycling on the flat, you'll burn around 40 calories a mile. To put that in context, there's around 120 calories in a small vanilla ice-cream cone, which you can easily burn off in 20 minutes cycling!

Avoiding Holiday Rip offs !
Hey peeps ,
So as its holiday season ,I am, sharing some of my tips to avoid high expensive holidays, but also allow your money to stretch further :)
So as its holiday season ,I am, sharing some of my tips to avoid high expensive holidays, but also allow your money to stretch further :)
Here are three of the biggest holiday rip-offs and how to avoid them:
1. Airport parking charges
A trip to the airport by car can quickly become an expensive affair, with parking fees costing more than the flight, in some cases.
The solution
Express train services aren't much better, and if you're using an airline like Ryanair or easyJet, can put a dent in what was meant to be a budget holiday.
If you're determined to take your car to the airport, there is really only one rule: Book as early as you can.
Use a search engine such as Holidayextras.co.uk, which will find you the best deal on your chosen dates. It also guarantees if you find a cheaper price within 24 hours of booking, it will give you the parking spot free of charge.
For rail travellers, instead of using express services, why not take a slower train which stops at a few extra stations? Ok, it may not get you to the airport in record time, but it will save you a packet on your train fare.
Or take a bus. For example, easyBus offers single fares to Luton, Gatwick and Stansted from just £2.
2. Exchanging money
Two of the worst places you can change your money are at the airport, and your hotel.
The solution?
Though they may be convenient, the rates you'll get are a real rip-off.
Plan ahead! If you're determined to leave your travel money until the last minute, Travelex lets you to order your currency online and pick it up at selected airports.
That way, you'll get a better rate, and have the convenience of being able to pick up your currency at the airport. You can even order it on the day of departure (just leave at least four hours for collection).
3. Dynamic currency conversion
Dynamic currency conversion is a practice most commonly used in Europe, especially in smaller stores, and at ATMs.
When paying for something in a shop, or withdraw cash at an ATM, some stores will give you the option to pay in pounds.
If you've never seen this before, it may seem logical to do this, as it shows you how much you'll be paying straight away.
One word: don't. The retailer earns a commission from the transaction, therefore the rate you'll be offered will be much less competitive than the one you'll get from your bank.
The solution
Simple: always opt to pay in the local currency.
With these simple tops you cant go wrong!
Until da next Tyme !

End of the 1st week !
Happy belated July 4th to all! apologies for the late response!
ok so a quick update, its been a week since I last updated you all on what has been happening with me.
I landed in Egypt with my girl and over the last few days we been chilling and hanging out.
Sipping champagne, with Disarrono, by the pool feel dangling in the water , under the stars - the simple life really :)
It has been cool hanging with her, the weather has been awesome, so we have been pampering ourselves and enjoying what sunny Sharm El Sheikh has to offer.
So its time for her to go home and we said our goodbyes at her hotel.... so imagine my surprise when she called me from the airport to say that she couldnt find her passport...
I had to make a mad rush across Sharm El Sheikh to rescue my girl, we finally got the passport to her , but she had missed the flight as they had closed the gate. So my girl gets to spend another night with me in Sunny Sharm until we can get her in a flight tomorrow ... yipeee
