What sign are you?

Hi there all.

Are we looking forward to the new year ? what are your plans? where y'all raving? Can I come ?.......LOL !

So I am reading more into my Chineese birth sign and below is what I have discovered, let me know what yours is?

The DOG (GOU)

Ruler of the hours 7pm to 9pm ( these are my best hours )

Direction - West/Northwest ( I am supposed to head in this direction )

Season - Autumn/October ( these are my best months )

Fixed element - Metal positive ( this is my Chineese Element ruled by Venus )

Yin/Yang - Yang ( I am the Yang)

Personality Traits:

People born under the year of the Dog tend to be very well liked as it is one of the most popular of all of the animals. Dog people are: truthful, clever, with a strong sense of fairness and devotion. They never shirk their duties, they always do their fair share of things and will always " listen to reason". They would never ignore a distress call, often putting the well-being of others before their own and they never abandon people. Other traits include: open-mindedness, never envious, non money-minded and very adept at seeing straight through others. However should you try to snoop into their affairs they can become secretive and also give a cold shoulder to those who they don't really like. They are also: intrepid, practical and " have great insight into human nature". They can be belligerent, gloomy, be anxious for no apparent reason and they absolutely detest pretence. Inevitabilities are never put on hold, neither is giving a clear-cut answer to something. Above all they are never sly, underhand or crafty.

The year of the Dog: is a year for reflection and to assess ones values. There will be disturbances, revolts, but as the Dog is always on the lookout, honesty will always rule the day. This year will see great benevolent and idealistic deeds and various unusual changes; a time when broadmindedness and fairness will be supported. Although this year is one of great cynicism a sense of balance and tranquility will be upheld.

I am The Metal Dog - generous, judicious, rigid, motivated by devotion and gracious.

Dear friends, and friends of Elizabeth!

I am S O O O thrilled with the huge gesture of love that you have
orchestrated together with Miss Hopkirk in sending a great number of shoes
and clothes for the refugees in Malawi. Some of the stuff looked brand new
and we thank you for letting us have it, to pass it on to those we know need it.
The distribution has commenced on a small scale but it will take a while
to continue, Elizabeth has visited the community where we work and met a couple of the people we started to give to. I hope she will tell you a bit about that when she sees you.
From us in Malawi, receive our love and gratitute and the blessings of our refugee friends.

The Year is almost at an End!

Hello People!

How are you all doing? I hope that you all had a great Christmas and that you drank, eat and lived a little....... :)

Well it is almost the end of the year and its time to reflect on what the year has been for us and to face the challenges that the new year will bring.

Whether you set your self tasks to being a better friend, work colleague or a better partner, be true to your self.....

I was sent this today and wanted to share with all my peeps:

As we grow old, we learn that even the person that wasn't supposed to let you down probably will.
You will have your heart brooken probably more than once and its harder everytime.
You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when your heart was broken.
You will fight with your best friend.
You will blame a new love for things and old love did.
You'll cry becasue time is passing too fast nd you will eventually lose someone you love .
So take many pictures, laugh a lot, and love like you have never been hurt, because every sixty seconds that you spend upset is a minute of happiness that you will never get back
Dont be afraid that your life will never end , be afraid that it will never begin !!!!

Webcams cant see black people !

Hello all,

Omg I have just discovered this story and lord.....this is talking it to another level!

Its seems that HP motion tracking  or facial recognition software that is currently being built in all their webcams on their new laptops ..... is unable to track people with darker skin pigmentation..... yes that means it cant recognise black people.

So what a couple of workers  found out while fooling around is now viral on Youtube , highlighting that HP havent done enough testing before sending products to the consumer.

Considering that black people make up such a huge part of the consumer market,  I am surprised that Corporations are not taking better  precautions with their market research.

This could prove costly to them !

When Facebook becomes your life !

Hey peeps,

I had to put this out there  AGAIN , as I find it disturbing that grown ass people are living  their life through FACEBOOK.

Ok let me undertsand this
  • Facebook is a social networking site right?
  • A place where you can share photos, music, catch up with old friends etc right?
  • It is a medium that can be used have some social debate, events etc  right?
So do explain why people feel the need to BROADCAST their PRIVATE life and business to 300 million people... as yes FB is no longer private.

I have friends who instead of talking to people actually talk via face book, they put thier private business out there and feel gratification when there "circle " of friends back them up and make them feel justification that they have done the right thing.

I have friends who gets so upset if their relationship status is not reflected with their partners, they believe that  their relationship has no meaning.

GET A LIFE  PEOPLE !

Facebook is a social networking site... if you need to air your private business out there head to a therapist, much more effective or talk to close friends.....FB is not the way

Until da next Tyme !
Hi there people,

A good friend sent me this message this morning and I wanted to share with you all ....

Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a house dress; lawn mower in his hand, and dish-towel in hers. It was the time for fixing things. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.

It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, eating leftovers, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant there would always be more to come.

But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more. Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away....never to return. So... While we have it... Its best we love it... And care for it....And fix it when it's broken..... And heal it when it's sick.

This is true... For marriage.... And old cars.... And children with bad report cards...... Dogs and cats with bad hips....And aging parents..... And grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep. Like a best friend who moved away or a classmate we grew up with. There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special...... And so, we keep them close in heart and mind and spirit.

I received this from someone who thinks I am a 'keeper', so I'm sending it on so that you may share it with the people you think of in the same way....

Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Rage Against the Machine!

Hellllllllllllllllooooooooooooo people !

Ok I so I couldnt leave this one alone, especially when I discovered who and what "Rage against the Machine "stood for.

As you all know a few weeks ago,I boycotted Xcraptor, as it was no longer a talent contest, but more of a money orientated business that was generating money for Simon Cowell, and making a mockery of the UK talent scene with those stoopid... yes Stoopid retarded twins, that it became painful to watch!

Well it seems that there are other people like me, who is no longer impressed with the dictatorship of where we should spend our money, it shows that the country ... well the UK at least is tired of being forced fed as to what they must watch/ buy

So Rage for the Machine, did something many were waiting for ...... made Simon Cowell humble- but not for long!

London Town

Hiya peeps ,

So here I am sitting in 24 degrees and I am hearing all sort of stories back from home ..... and it s all centred about around the weather.

Ok so let me get this right :

  • England is one of the countries that experience 4 seasons every year
  • Winter is always a bad time for many countries not just the UK
  • Every year December it snows, it is sexpected
  • Every year the transport system is crippled
  • Every year we hear the same old moans
So if this is something that we experience year after year .... why the hell are we not better equipped for it??

Why are we paying such high travel cost, because as soon as mother nature challenges us we are stranded and unable to do basic travelling and living functions???

From New York, Canada, Russia, you name a country they all suffer from severe weather conditions that nature throws at them, but they ensure that they are prepared by the next year , but Britain is different because............

I think as Londoners instead of moaning how cold it is and that we  cant wait to get home and generally bit*h about all that is wrong, remember this:
  1. You have a choice, you chose to stay in the UK and accept the weather , lifestyle etc - this is your choice, not enforced on you.
  2. Spare a thought for the homeless that dont have a warm bed to go to in the current climate and do something to help them ... Prince William did,  so what makes you so special that you cant ???

I chose to leave the UK at this time of the year and have done so for the last few years when I  can, but before I do, I take a few boxes of clothes to the local charity shops/ shelters to help those less fortunate than I am ... can you do the same ?

Until da next Tyme !

"Fake Hungry "

Dear all,

I wanted to share this article with you that  I read.... its worth reading, especially for those of us which are constantly dieting, if we ignore our hunger it makes it worse, dont skip meals, eat little portions often.

Try and eat at least 6 times per day with exercise and the weight will fall ......

Our appetites can be quite the pranksters. It often fools us to think we are hungry, when often, we may be suffering from something completely different. Distinguishing between false hunger and true hunger will help you know when your body really needs food and when it needs something else.

  • Hunger Due to Eating the Wrong Food: Symptoms include craving high sugar foods or feeling “hungry” soon after eating a meal. If you just had a big meal that is high in simple carbohydrates and did not contain fiber, protein or healthy fat, all of which help provide a sense of satiety, you may have experienced a drop in blood sugar. In this case, have a healthy snack, such as a piece of fresh fruit and nuts, or cottage cheese or celery and peanut butter or 1/2 of a sandwich on whole grain bread).

  • Emotional Hunger: Sometimes, our appetites can go haywire when we are experiencing boredom, fear, anxiety, stress or loneliness. Try taking a walk, journaling, listening to some favorite music, calling a friend or chewing a piece of mint gum instead. Read a book, go to a “safe place” like a library or museum or park where you will not be tempted to overeat or distracted by food. Take a bath, meditate, or think about what REALLY would satisfy you, vs. eating to stuff down emotions you do not want to confront.

  • Hunger Due to Sleepiness: Experts at http://www.webmd.com/ state that two major hormones, leptin and ghrelin, affect and control sensations of hunger and fullness. Ghrelin stimulates appetite, while leptin, made in fat cells, alerts the brain that you have had enough to eat. Lack of sleep causes a significant drop in leptin levels as well as an increase in ghrelin levels, a so called double whammy for appetite control and feelings of satiety. Daytime fatigue may lead people to overeat (often, high sugar, nutrient poor foods) in an attempt to get an extra surge of energy. This is equivalent to placing a Band-Aid on the true problem. It provides only temporary relief, which is soon followed by a crash in energy levels and a resurgence of “hunger” leading to more snacking, increased sugar cravings, etc….a vicious cycle. If you are feeling mid-afternoon hunger pains, try: a brisk 10 min walk around the block (fresh air helps, as does exercise, to boost alertness and increase circulation), a cup of green tea (high in antioxidants and low in caffeine relative to coffee), a 1/4 cup of almonds and a small apple (high in protein, healthy fat and carbohydrates, low in sugar, and a good source of magnesium and fiber). Even taking a few deep breaths can help curb fatigue!

  • Hunger Due to Thirst: We often mistake thirst for hunger. Try drinking a glass or two of water to identify whether you are truly hungry or just slightly dehydrated, in which case water is the perfect antidote!

When you are really experiencing true hunger, however, it is pretty clear to identify. For instance, a growling stomach will cause us to be cranky and unfocused…until we get some food, that is! If it has been four hours since your last meal or snack, you may well be truly hungry.

Don’t ignore true hunger…doing so may exacerbate it and cause you to overeat to compensate for the missed calories. It is important to eat regularly and consistently to keep energy levels elevated and avoid dips in blood sugar.

Try to include fruits and vegetables at each meal and snack, along with some protein (cheese, beans, lean meat/poultry/fish) and some healthy fat (avocado, olives, nuts, oil). This whole foods approach will help keep you at a healthy weight and lessen the likelihood for emotional hunger to rear its head!

Phone Rescue

Hey peeps,

How are y'all doing, I have been kicking back and chilling in the sun for the last few days.

However I have been getting lots of questions on an issue which can be quite big, if you are a phone / cell junkie like me.....

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR  PHONE/CELL GETS WET

Ok so that is an easy one... now what I am about to say may be far fetched, but trust me I can say it works a 100% from experience

  • Whatever you do immediately take your phone battery out. The reason why your phone stop working after its in the water is because  when you try to turn it on again without letting it dry and the battery shorts the phone.
  • Now you have to be patient this is the ONLY WAY. You have to put your phone in a bag of rice..I know this sounds crazy but the rice soaks up all the moisture..
  • Leave it there for 2-3 days...WITHOUT turning the phone on..this is crucial, and then try to leave it on something warm like a tv..., if you are in a hot country like I was when this happened, I left it in the sun for a 5- 8 hours  and it did the trick, when I switched on my blackberry it worked perfectly !
For those that have children, this is a nightmare, but it can be resolved, my friend was horrified when his nephew dropped mine in the toilet.....his face was a picture when he had to tell me, but he was the one that also did the above trick and it worked.

Good luck !

Law of the garbage truck!

Peeps,

I  had to share this , my family sent it this morning and it was a such a good lesson I am sharing it with the world ........

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes  They'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage And spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a blessed, garbage-free day!

Interesting Read !!!

Ok so I just had to share with you what I have just read.

This actually clears something in my mind, especially for most caribbean descents that will be aware of this product!

CANCER KILLER DISCOVERED

Guyabano , The Soursop Fruit

The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo.

Why are we not aware of this?

Its because some big corporation want to make back their money spent on years of research by trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale.
So, since you know it now you can help a friend in need by letting him know or just drink some sour sop juice yourself as prevention from time to time.

The taste is not bad after all. It’s completely natural and definitely has no side effects.

If you have the space, plant one in your garden.

The other parts of the tree are also useful. The next time you have a fruit juice, ask for a sour sop.

How many people died in vain while this billion-dollar drug maker concealed the secret of the miraculous Graviola tree?

The is tree is low and is called graviola in Brazil , guanabana in Spanish and has the uninspiring name "soursop" in English.

The fruit is very large and the subacid sweet white pulp is eaten out of hand or, more commonly, used to make fruit drinks, sherbets and such.

The principal interest in this plant is because of its strong anti-cancer effects.

Although it is effective for a number of medical conditions, it is its anti tumor effect that is of most interest.

This plant is a proven cancer remedy for cancers of all types.

Besides being a cancer remedy, graviola is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.

If there ever was a single example that makes it dramatically clear why the existence of Health Sciences Institute is so vital to Americans like you, it's the incredible story behind the Graviola tree.
 The truth is stunningly simple:

Deep within the Amazon Rainforest grows a tree that could literally revolutionize what you, your doctor, and the rest of the world thinks about cancer treatment and chances of survival.

The future has never looked more promising.
Research shows that with extracts from this miraculous tree it now may be possible to:

* Attack cancer safely and effectively with an all-natural therapy that does not cause extreme nausea, weight loss and hair loss

* Protect your immune system and avoid deadly infections

* Feel stronger and healthier throughout the course of the treatment

* Boost your energy and improve your outlook on life

The source o f this information is just as stunning: It comes from one of America 's largest drug manufacturers, the fruit of over 20 laboratory tests conducted since the 1970's!

What those tests revealed was nothing short of mind numbing...

Extracts from the tree were shown to:

* Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer.
* The tree compounds proved to be up to 10,000 times stronger in slowing the growth of cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug!

* What's more, unlike chemotherapy, the compound extracted from the Graviola tree selectively hunts down and kills only cancer cells.

It does not harm healthy cells!

The amazing anti-cancer properties of the Graviola tree have been extensively researched-- so why haven't you heard anything about it?

If Graviola extract is as half as promising as it appears to be-- why doesn't every single oncologist at every major hospital insist on using it on all his or her patients?

The spine-chilling answer illustrates just how easily our health-- and for many, our very lives(!)--are controlled by money and power.

Graviola--the plant that worked too well

One of America 's biggest billion-dollar drug makers began a search for a cancer cure and their research centered on Graviola,

A legendary healing tree from the Amazon Rainforest.
Various parts of the Graviola tree--including the bark, leaves, roots, fruit and fruit-seeds--have been used for centuries by medicine men and native Indians in South America to treat heart disease, asthma, liver problems and arthritis.

Going on very little documented scientific evidence, the company poured money and resources into testing the tree's anti-cancerous properties--and were shocked by the results. Graviola proved itself to be a cancer-killing dynamo.

But that's where the Graviola story nearly ended.

The company had one huge problem with the Graviola tree--it's completely natural, and so, under federal law, not patentable. There's no way to make serious profits from it.

It turns out the drug company invested nearly seven years trying to synthesize two of the Graviola tree's most powerful anti-cancer ingredients. If they could isolate and produce man-made clones of what makes the Graviola so potent, they'd be able to patent it and make their money back.

Alas, they hit a brick wall. The original simply could not be replicated.

There was no way the company could protect its profits--or even make back the millions it poured into research.

As the dream of huge profits evaporated, their testing on Graviola came to a screeching halt.

Even worse, the company shelved the entire project and chose not to publish the findings of its research!

Luckily, however, there was one scientist from the Graviola research team whose conscience wouldn't let him see such atrocity committed. Risking his career, he contacted a company that's dedicated to harvesting medical plants from the Amazon Rainforest and blew the whistle.

Miracle unleashed

When researchers at the Health Sciences Institute were alerted to the news of Graviola, they began tracking the research done on the cancer-killing tree. Evidence of the astounding effectiveness of Graviola--and its shocking cover-up--came in fast and furious....

....The National Cancer Institute performed the first scientific research in 1976.

The results showed that Graviola's "leaves and stems were found effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells." Inexplicably, the results were published in an internal report and never released to the public...

...Since 1976, Graviola has proven to be an immensely potent cancer killer in 20 independent laboratory tests, yet no double-blind clinical trials-- the typical benchmark mainstream doctors and journals use to judge a treatment's value- -were ever initiated..

A study published in the Journal of Natural Products, following a recent study conducted at Catholic University of South Korea stated that one chemical in Graviola was found to selectively kill colon cancer cells at "10,000 times the potency of (the commonly used chemotherapy drug) Adriamycin..."

...The most significant part of the Catholic University of South Korea report is that

Graviola was shown to selectively target the cancer cells, leaving healthy cells untouched.

Unlike chemotherapy, which indiscriminately targets all actively reproducing cells (such as stomach and hair cells), causing the often devastating side effects of nausea and hair loss in cancer patients.

...A study at Purdue University recently found that leaves from the Graviola tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers...

Seven years of silence broken--it's finally here!

Every Caribbean family know of this products as it grows abundantly in Jamaica, Barbados, St Lucia etc, so why cant we get it in the UK considering they import practically everything else!

Looking Gorgeous for the holidays !!!!

Hiya people!

Over the last few weeks, I have been informing you all of little things we can do for Christmas, be it food drink or even gifts, well today...... its all about you looking GOOD on a budget!

Look gorgeous on a tight budget !! yes it can be done !

Its seems that  British women go to  hell for leather to look their best for their office Christmas parties...... why I am not too sure :)

A recent survey by British Lion Eggs found that 58% of women planned to lose weight before their festive 'do'. And it sounds like no small task - with the average dieter wanting to lose a substantial 10lbs.

Frankly, that sounds a bit scary! Fortunately, dieting isn't the be all and end all.I dont believe in , but there are many that do . There are other ways for both men and women to look their best at Christmas time - and they don't involve starving yourself or your bank account.

Here's some ideas to looking great at your festive celebration.

Make-up and skin care
First, here are five ways you can pamper your skin - and get top-quality slap - for less:

1. Get acquainted with aqueous cream
You can pick up this cheap, non-perfumed, rich moisturiser in most pharmacies and apply it from head to foot.
It's excellent for people with sensitive skin, and can even be used instead of soap and/or shaving foam. Definitely value for money!

2. Cocoa butter
Cocoa butter is another great intensive moisturiser that's usually a fraction of the price of big-name alternatives. It helps tone your skin and make scars fade - and it smells rather lovely, too.

3. Hunt the freebie
There are free skincare and make-up samples lurking all over the web, if you know where to look. Check out this section of Bob's Free Stuff for starters.

4. Get big name brands at smaller prices
If you're determined to bag a particular brand of beauty product, browse specialist websites that sell it at cheaper-than-high street prices. Discount designer beauty sites worth exploring include LookFantastic (and LookMantastic for the blokes), FeelUnique and ZestBeautyCare.

5. Aways compare prices
Price comparison websites are always worth using when you shop online. Sites like Kelkoo, PriceRunner, shopping.com and Foundem track down the products you're after at the lowest possible prices.

Clothes
Are you looking for a gorgeous outfit without the horrific price tag? Here are five tips to point you in the right direction:

1. Rescue mission
Before you spend any money, see if you already have clothes you can rescue with a bit of love and/or creative embellishment.....

You don't need to be a whiz with a needle and thread - just a few bright buttons or an elegant scarf can make all the difference.

And if that little black dress is now that little washed-out grey dress, dying it back to its original tone should give it a new lease of life. Home dyes like those in the Dylon range are affordable and pretty simple to use - just make sure you read all the instructions!

2. Accessorise
If you're really not a crafty person, consider adding some new accessories to a tried and tested outfit for a smart new look.

It doesn't have to be the staple 'shoes and handbag' combo. What about some bright tights or a slinky new belt? Belts can be particularly handy in transforming dresses that are just a bit too big.

3. Swap it!
Swap unwanted clothing with others and you could end up with the outfit of your dreams - for nothing.

There are now dozens of websites and events dedicated to helping you swap your way to that perfect dress or suit. Just make sure your chosen service is free to register with, and to use.

For example, SwapStyle allows you to swap clothes, shoes and accessories with people all over the globe. Covert Candy rewards you with credits in return for your unwanted items, which you can then spend on the site on other clothes you fancy. And BigWardrobe allows to you swap, buy or sell 'pre-loved' items.

4. Designs on designer goods
If you have your heart set on a new, big name outfit, there are still ways you can knock a chunk off the price.

Have a look at discount designer clothes websites like Catwalk to Closet, Brand Alley, Koodos, TheOutnet and Fashion Exchange. As usual, avoid any that charge you to sign up.

5. A charitable Christmas
Finally, don't forget to visit your local charity shop for high-quality clothing bargains at bargain basement prices. Any stigma associated with charity shop clobber is long gone. In fact, darling, recessionista chic is SO now!

Xcraptor Revisited !

Good morning all,

I hope that you all had a great wekeend! what did y'all get up to???

Well apart from the weather, London Town wasnt sexy, but the O2 kicked up a storm for Saturday and Sunday evening with the likes of  Lady Gaga, Tinchy Stryder, Lily Allen, JLS, Pixie Lott, Taio Cruz, all for the Jingle Bell Ball

I know that Party was off da chain, but it was a stay at home weekend for me..... due to my upcoming travels next week.

So I gave in and watch the Xcraptor on Tivo( Sky +) last night .... and shock horror Danyl is no longer.

Since his appearance in the show, dude has be slated for whatever reason each week, whether about his sexuality or his  superior confidence, but nothing can deny he has talent, so in my opinion , he is bigger that this show and his path was already mapped out by Simon , so he will be on to better things.

Good luck to the remaining 3, they are all pretty strong, so next week will be the show that counts !

I am turning 40!

Whasssup y'all,

I AM GONNA BE 40!
I AM GONNA BE 40!
I AM GONNA BE 40!

Yep, I am turning 40 next year and unlike most people that dread when they reach that age, I am actually looking forward to embracing it as I do most things in life.

I don't look or feel my age and that is a blessing, so why am I suppose to act my age???

AGE - it is only a number that society dictates how  you should feel dress or look? It should be something that we all address personally as to how it fits with us as indviduals, not what others may  think.

My nearest and dearest all know that people's opinion of me never matters and that I just enjoy living, I do all the stuff that I  want to do not what SOCIETY says I should be doing, and yes that may include others preception that I am stepping outside the box:)

But you only live ONCE, and my motto and mantra , is "live today like its your last" as you doing get "DO Overs "

We honestly don't know what the future holds and I hate to be sitting on a veranda somewhere in the caribbean  in the distant future- yes as that is where I might need to spend my last days... wishing I had done this or that ..... I have the opportunity to do it now !!!

Until da next tyme !

End of year Wish List!!

hey peeps ,

So as the end of the year draws to a close most people will be getting ready to make their new year resolutions, I, on the other hand is  all kinda of special, as I turn it around for what is applicable to me.

I like to try and complete 5 things that I haven't completed throughout the year, and I have 3 weeks to do it, so here goes :
  • Donate half my wardrobe ( including Shoes )  to charity - if it hasn't been worn in six month then it needs to go
  • Treat myself to one EXPENSIVE item - dont matter what it is , as long its what I want
  • Reconnect with a long lost friend.
  • Inspire one person to achieve a higher potentail of themself.
  • Ensure that on the 31st I am laughing at myself , and enjoying that I have lived to see the end of another year in good health !
I have done 2 out of 5 so far, so wish me luck!

What is your end of year list?

Until da next tyme !

Most Wanted Christmas Gifts

Hey y'all,

So there I  am in discussion with a few friends about what there is to add to christmas gifts list and it emerges that people all want the same thing, so if you are stuck what to get , you cant go wrong with the list below

And without wanting to scare you, I have to inform you that there's only three weeks left - so that means three weeks in which to do your Christmas shopping.

1) Wii Fit Plus
Following on from the success of the Wii Fit, it's no surprise that the Wii Fit Plus takes the number one

2) Sony Playstation 3 Slim
If you've got kids who are massive gaming fans, you probably dread the release of every new gaming system. And this year has seen the release of the Sony Playstation 3 slim - which, as the name suggests, is a slimmer, more compact version of the Playstation 3. It's also quieter (which might be an attraction for long-suffering parents!).

3) Samsung Netbook N310
Next up is the Samsung Netbook N310. Netbooks have been growing in popularity due to the fact they are smaller and more portable than laptops - very handy for that commute to work. They also use lower powered processors - which are good at preserving battery life, just not so good at dealing with intensive applications such as video editing.

4) Olympus Mju Tough 6000 Digital Camera
Although mobile phone cameras are getting funkier, demand is still strong for digital cameras. And the fourth most wanted Christmas present is the Olympus Mju Tough 6000.

5) PSP Go
It's the smallest and lightest PSP yet, weighing in at just 160g. So it's bound to be flying off the shelves this Christmas!

6) Lips Number One Hits (Xbox 360)
Got a budding pop star in the family? If you have, I can guarantee the Lips Number One Hits game for the Xbox 360 is going to be top of their Christmas list. The game comes with two wireless interactive microphones and allows you to sing and dance to chart-topping music - from Rihanna to Coldplay to Culture Club.

7) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
The release of this game in November, and its enormous popularity, immediately prompted a price war between several stores.

8) Sharp LCD TV
Most desired product number eight is a Sharp LCD TV - or more specifically, the Sharp LC32LE600E which is known for its fabulous picture quality and the fact it uses 40% less energy than traditional LCD TVs.

9) Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Maverick
I wouldn't blame you for wondering what the Hasbro Nerf N-Strike Maverick is. But no, I'm not talking gibberish. Its for the kids !

10) Nintendo Lite DS Console
Last but not least, the Nintendo Lite DS Console rounds off my list. This was hugely popular last Christmas and continues to be high on the Christmas list this year.

Happy shopping!

Until da Next Tyme

Iphone and Blackberry Debate

Hey peeps,

Gonna make this a short one - but I hope that you are all good !

So I am constantly being asked for my opinion on whether the Iphone or Blackberry is the way to go, this is really simple as it all depends an what you use your phone for :

Blackberry Bold 9000
  • Business functionality - working away from the office or need to be in touch with emails
  • Its a practical working phone
  • Good design for it funcionality
  • Average screen size
  • Exceptional  battery life
  • Operating system is ok needs more tuning
  • Real keyboard if you are a keyboard lover
  • Picture quality not great - but new 9700 is fantastic
Iphone
  • Look good phone, sexy design
  • Good for music
  • Great for surfing the internet
  • Great screen size
  • Battery life is not great as it needs to be constantly charged
  • Best Operating system on the planet
  • touch screen
  • Exceptional picture quality
I am a die hard  Crackberry chick and I will never give it up, however I would rock a Iphone for the internet as it is awesome.

So if you are looking for an internet phone that looks good ..... Iphone is the one

If you are looking for a practical functional phone ..... its all about the Crackberry

Until da next Tyme !

A Truly sad story at this time of the year

Dear all,

I read this and was saddened for this mother and we can all be jusgemental about why was she sleeping etc, until we walk a mile in another person shoe let us not judge

A breast-feeding mother accidentally smothered her four-week old child aboard a United Airlines flight from Washington, D.C., to Kuwait, a British tabloid reported Tuesday.

The Sun newspaper said that the mother, who it said was a 29-year-old Egyptian-born woman, fell asleep as she breast-fed on the jet and awoke to find that the child had been smothered. The paper said the plane was diverted to London's Heathrow in an attempt to save the baby's life.

The paper cited an unnamed police source in its reporting. Scotland Yard confirmed that a United Airlines plane had been diverted to Heathrow in late November after reports that a four-week-old girl was in distress. The police said in a statement that the baby was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. It added that an autopsy had been performed, but the results were still pending.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and the Child Abuse Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances," the statement said

Scotland Yard did not go into further detail, although Britain's Press Association news agency reported that such investigations were standard practice. A police spokesman declined comment when asked about the child's mother, although he noted that there had been no arrests. He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with force policy.

United Airlines spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said that Flight 982, a Boeing 777 flying from Washington's Dulles Airport to Kuwait City, was diverted to London on Nov. 25 because of what she said was an ill passenger. A doctor aboard the flight helped while the plane was still in the air, Urbanski said.

Once the ground, local authorities took over, and Urbanski said she had no information about what happened to the passenger next, although the flight later proceeded to Kuwait.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has warned that sharing a bed or sleeping with an infant can be hazardous under certain conditions.

If you have children given them  big hugz and kisses

hey my Lovelies,

Yes I am in a great mood, why Christmas is here and Life is too Short.....I am always a great believer that as one door closes, another will open to help you on to the next part of life's journey.

London Town

My friend popped into town last week and was performing at Penthouse in Leicester Square, as I have touched based with him in a long while I thought let me pop along as the London scene no longer holds any appeal, but to hang with my boy I thought I could tolerate it..... boy was I wrong !!!!

The BS started at the door with the security explaining that all ladies must check their bags as well as there coat..... EXCUSE YOU????
