  6. The spot that you found was wallpapered when you arrived, and yiu made your home for the night - when the party was over... there was a HUGE spot on the wall where the wall paper is no longer on the wall LOOOL!
Well if you can remember all that .... then you need to head to the Halo bar on October 10th, 317 Battersea park road.

Isnt it great to be Alive !!!

Hey peeps,

hope y'all had a good weekend, I wanted to share an email that I recieved this weekend, as we seem to lose sight of how lucky we all are in some ways, or maybe we take for granted how lucky we are.

"So damn easy to say that life is so hard
Everybody's got their share of battle scars
As for me , I'd like to to thank my lucky stars that I am alive and well .....
It'd be easy to add up all the pain
And all the dreams you sat and watched go up in flames
Dwell on the wreckage as it smoulders in the rain
But not me ...... I'm alive

And today you know that's good enough for me
Breathin in and out's a blessing you can't see
Today's the first day of the rest of my life and I'm alive
And well.... I'm alive and well !! "

Remember that you may be luckier than most, so whether you take your life for granted or not, just remember at least you are alive and relatively well .......

Have a fab week until da next tyme !

Air Travel

hey there peeps,

So it has finally happened!

BRITISH Airways is to charge passengers up to £60 each way to reserve their seats on flights.
The crisis-hit airline will launch the new "service" from October.

It allows passengers to book favourite seats up to 355 days in advance - instead of the current 24 hours.

But it also means a family of four will have to stump up to make sure they sit together.
The airline warned that passengers who turn up at airport check-in will face "the luck of the draw" for seats.

A BA spokesman said: "Many customers frequently request specific seats further in advance and this new service will allow them to do that. It will also generate revenue for BA."
On long haul flights it will cost £60 to reserve a seat in business class, or £50 for premium economy or exit row seats with extra leg-room.

Even for short-haul economy flights, passengers face a £10 surcharge.

BA is in a "fight for survival" after running up record losses of £401million in the last financial year.

The Sun revealed in July that BA was axing free food on thousands of short-haul flights to save cash.

Chief executive Willie Walsh also asked thousands of staff to work for free for a month.
Cabin crew have threatened to strike weeks before Christmas over new pay and conditions that unions fear will come in next month.

Hmm so let me get this straight, they lose money , their service is still cr*p and they want to charge us more the privilege of flying with them.

I have said many times before BA standard has deflated, they are no longer the best airline to travel with, I prefer Virgin, and that doesn't mean that they are the best either they just take a little more care.

Lets be real , all airlines are the same they are out to make money , however its the ones that makes us feel special with that little extra care that will get our business, right now BA has lost that battle.

Pretty soon other airlines will follow their lead in some shape or form, and when that happens, I will be the one sailing wherever I need to travel to, rather than flying..... it may take me a while to get there, but think of the pleasure that I could experience along the way..........

UK Talent

Hey peeps,

I just had to drop a quick update to you all.

For years I have known that the UK has great talent and I have been singing its praises, but tonight it was fully defined to me.

I had the pleasure of seeing an artist performed at the HALO , when she sang, her voice touched the depths of my heart........

TRACEY CAMPBELL!!!

This is the name that that you must look out for in the future, remember that I told you first!!!

Tracey has been one of the UK undiscovered talent for some time.... and for this I am shocked as she is such a natural talent, I can sum up and experience all the greats in her style... from Aretha, Whitney, just to name a few and she has her own sytle and twist.

When she sang this evening she demanded and held the room's attention and very few artist are capable of commanding that amount of adulation !

I am now a fan and fully belive that she has a very very promising future within the UK and cant wait to hear her again.

Join me at her next performance on Oct 10th at the HALO, 317 Battersea Park Road, London.

I will be the one at the front :)

30 Principles of Wealth Creation

Hey Peeps,

I had to share this

1) Identify a need of the people living around you and solve that need. Then you will smile your way to the bank.
2) Live below your means, irrespective of whatever you earn.
3) Be slow to spend. If you have to, then spend less and save more.
4) Be quick to save and invest; invest more wisely.
5) Diversification of investments is the best strategy for wealth creation. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
6) Always bear in mind that wealth does not begin with cash; it begins with vision and information. It begins with ideas.
7) Money is the reward for solving problems. It is the reward for services rendered. So keeping on delivering services and you will be rewarded.
8) If you have a vision, the vision will attract provision.
9) Lack of ideas is lack of cash. Think out an idea and boom you are on your way to the bank.
10) Money is a means, vision is the end. So use the means to achieve the end.
11) You don’t become wealthy by how much you make, you become rich by how much you keep- by how much you save and invest.
12) Always bear in mind that when wealth increases, expenses always increase to match it.
13) Don’t give or invest based on where you are, give or invest based on where you are going to.
14) Note that until you are financially free, you are not completely free.
15) God does not give you what you ask; He gives you what you can manage.
16) Money does not answer prayers. It answers only to giving and wise investments.
17) He that goeth a-borrowing goeth a-sorrowing. Why? Because borrowing is self-slavery and imprisonment.
18) Don’t invest in unfamiliar waters.
19) Always have in mind that the best things in life are free. They cannot be bought with money e.g. health, long life, wisdom, happiness, integrity, peace.
20) Believe in the power of compound interest P (1+r/100) n. Always keep on re-investing.
21) If you want additions, work, but if you want multiplication, invest.
22) Draw up a plan to acquire the desired wealth, and then seek the shortest and most direct path to achieve it. Nobody ever makes money without a plan to make money.
23) Giving is living, because everything that lives gives. Giving is part of life. In order to create wealth you must give.
24) The basics for wealth creation are seeds of ideas. Creation begins with an idea- a dream seed. In Genesis 1:26a God said, ‘’ Let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness.’’ We all originated from God’s idea.
25) Any prayer that doesn’t end in ‘’ what to do’’ is not yet answered. Your prayer is answered, once God gives you an idea.
26) Always seek advice from experts.
27) Never spend your money before you make it.
28) Think big, start small and watch it grow.
29) Always be ready to take the risk and join the millionaires.
30) Lastly, believe in the Law of Abundance.

If you apply these principles in your life their will be a great change in your life.

See you at the spot (Success).

Facebook !!!

hey peeps,

So lets tackle the FB topic.

Last night I read that FB has 300 million people on it s database.... that is almost the population of the US which stands at 307 million!!

I love facebook, as a user I am happy to share pics and nights out with my friends and just a general catch up.

However, we need to fcous on what it really is

  • It is a social networking site

  • It cannot pay your bills

  • It will not find you happiness - some may beg to differ with this

  • It is a networking tool

  • as with all sites open to the world wide web, it will be open to fraudelent use, so be careful the information that you place on the site

  • It cannot replace people and keeping in touch the old fashion way

I have many friends who live by FB, they place their lives on there, their relationship is open for all to see, including break up and other personal issues, if you dont have a FB then you are outcast by society that you dont matter!

People have forgotten the simple task of calling and having a converstaion. What did we all do before, blogs,FB, cell phones, Blackberrys, internet......

I am all for progression in making our day to day life easier, however, I fear that as a society we are been overtaken with technology for doing the simplest of tasks and we lose the joy of living for that moment and enjoy just being human.

I myself can be blamed on this as due to fact that I travel frequently, FB helps me keep in touch, but I am slowly realising that there is no better way that to talk ... talking is good !

So even though I post on face book and share my pictures and thoughts via mediums such as FB and Blogs, there can be nothing better that arranging to meet a friend or catching up on the telephone... lets not forget that !

A Nation Remembers - I Remember !

Today is a sad day for many to remember!

It was this day 8 years ago that the world was shocked by a terrorist attack that shook the foundations of our entire world.... more so by the fact that it happened to one of the "Most powerful "countries in the world THE UNITED STATES!!

Can you remember what you what you were doing when the news broke and you saw the first plane hit the Twin Towers?

I can recall hearing the news and trying to log on to the internet or flicking the news channels for some news, the images I saw had me devastated and I cried, more so after it was revelaed that there were simultaneous attacks, in different cities !

My family and friends were still in the US and your immediate reaction is to get in touch...... but that day was a complete shut down of the telecommunication highway.

We all are connected by at least 6 degrees of separation , and I am sure that we were all touched or knew some of the victims.

Tragedy happens in our lifetimes, it is what makes us stronger and judging by the US citizens , and how they have pulled together this tragedy has made them stronger.

Today I pay my respects to the victims we lost and to the heroes we created !

The Halo

Hey y'all

I am finally going to share ..... I think it has been wrong of me not to do so sooner !

For years I have been hiding in my own private little venue in my corner of the world away tucked away in Battersea away from the hustle bustle of the West End.

In this world , my own private bar, my own private oasis, where I am known by name and greeted like a long lost friend everytime I visit.

From comfy sofas, grand piano, exciting cocktails a wide range of musical decadence to sweeten any musical palate, to an array of artistic visual display, I have decided to share with you my peeps my quiet place ..... THE HALO

If you are looking for that home away from home, to listen to good live music with a social and relaxing vibe, then make a stop right here. The friendly atmosphere, the relaxed lighting, the exotic feel is what makes me think each time I step through the doors , that this is my HALO.....

Another year older !

Its my Birthday today!

I am another year older and another year wiser.....

I find however as the older I get the more patience I have. This has never always been the case as I can be a bit impatient, to most of my friends that know me.

But in the last few years I seem to have gain better understanding and patience of the whole "growing up " thing !

So with my birthday week, I wanted to try and do the things I use to do and add to the things I want to do on my celebration week.....

Well....... All I can say is that I am definitely getting older and no longer need to be on the "IT " scene.

Saturday - I had dinner with friends in a nice Indonesian restuarant, followed by a "locked in" session at my local bar..... no dont imagine drunken dubauchery as what might have happendd in the past. Instead I was quietly getting drunk whilst reliving fun times with a few friends in a chilled out area.

Sunday - I had dinner at my girlfriend's house - who is an awesome cook, so good food, good company and good converstaion and I was a happy Chick!

Monday - I made the mistake of deciding that I was heading to a club to bring in my birthday with a fellow virgoan. Needless to say by the time I arrived at the club, saw the queue , waited a few minutes before being escorted in, my ear drums were assualted and I felt like a kindergarden school teacher as I was surrounded by adolescent infants. I arrived at 11pm made the rounds to all in the industry and said my goodbyes by 12.10 and headed home :)

Tuesday - Today is my actual birthday and apart from the wonderful surprises that has being delivered to my work or friends dropping off gifts to my office and my assistant arranging a shopping gift voucher for me to splurge, along with all the messages that I have been receiving, I am more than happy to say that I am having a quiet birthday. I am heading to my local bar this evening to catch some live acts to finish off the day.

So does this mean I am turning into an old "foggey" or have I turned in a mature older lady apreciating the quieter side of life..... hmm only time will tell !

The Long Weekend....

hey peeps,

Ok so the UK had a long weekend and it is now a 4 day week ! yipee.

Whilst most were partying hard on the weekend, with the London Carnival , I took some time out to relax and reconnect with myself.

It was truly amazing, I caught up with television series that I hadnt seen in a while, magazines that has been pilling up waiting for my attention.

I stayed in bed and watched old movies( who remembers the Carry On films from back in the day )

I did all the homely stuff so I cleaned all the nooks and crannies in the house, so that I had no extra unwanted visitors, ie spiders etc.

We are now in Septemeber and every now and again, we need to take time out from our busy schedules/ lifes and just appreciate ourseleves. you will find that when we do our outlook on life becomes more optimistic.
