Someone might be on a power trip, and is using you as their primary target. Take care not to take this energy too personally since most of what is going on is a result of energy they need to work out themselves, more than anything that relates directly to you.
At the same time, you are of a strong mind to strike back with your acute mental powers and set the record straight. State your opinion clearly and succinctly, but do not argue furiously to the point where bridges get burned or friendships get ruined.
