Our children!

Good morning all,

I awoke to the news headlines that they want to teach children as young as 5yrs old sex education!

Ok let's look at this;

A 5yr old can just about be comprehensive about what the days of the week are?

How will they understand what sex education is all about? Half the adult population don't understand it either!

I fear that we are taking our childrens childhood away due to us as adults not doing what we are meant to do and protecting our children.

We live in an age where our children grow up far too quickly and you have children becoming parents, young girls as young as 8 with cell phones....why???

I realise that our society is the cause of this, so we adapt to maintain our child safety.

But where do we draw the line? If we are teaching them about sex at 5 years old, pretty soon we will be programming them with life ideas whilst they are in the womb!

Maths Wizard wins Junior Apprentice !

I read this story this morning and I had to share..... its so good to see positivity in our young people insted of the negative stuff we hear, guns, knives etc.

I am not a lover of reality TV, but in this instance I will make and exception

Maths wizard Arjun Rajyagor has been crowned Lord Sugar's first Junior Apprentice, bagging a £25,000 "pocket money" fund to launch his business career.

The last task on the BBC1 show saw the teens create and market a brand of bottled water.


Lord Sugar heaped praise on Arjun, from Essex, declaring: "Arjun has that natural business flair combined with intelligence that some people are born with - you can't learn it.

"I know that Arjun is going to become the best at whatever he wants to do and I will be here for support all the way."
Arjun has received a conditional offer to study Engineering Science at Oxford University and aspires to become his own boss of an electrical engineering company.


He described his win as "mind-blowing" and his time on the show as "the most amazing experience of my life".
The £25,000 prize will be controlled by Lord Sugar and will be carefully handed out when brainbox Arjun wants to take on a suitable venture.
Lord Sugar added: "I was so impressed with all of the candidates - they were outstanding for their age - but there had to be just one winner, and Arjun has done himself and his family proud."


Arjun said: "It's been an amazing opportunity and I can't believe I'm the first Junior Apprentice. It's absolutely mind-blowing and it hasn't even set in yet."

I saw this article and wanted to share , tell me what you think? I am not sure how well recieved it will be but it seems to be working fine !

Giving obese people cash payments to shed pounds can lead to substantial weight loss, research suggests.

An NHS-backed scheme has paid out tens of thousands of pounds in "air miles for dieters" in a bid to tackle the obesity crisis.

Now more people are being recruited to the programme, which pays a maximum of £3,000 for those with the most to lose.

Under the Weight Wins scheme, overweight people sign up for a slimming programme and have monthly weigh-ins at their GP surgery, pharmacy or fitness centre.

They earn cash payments for every pound they lose while dieting and then a 50% "bonus" if they manage to keep the weight off for several months.


Final rewards range from £80 to £3,000, depending upon the length of the plan and how much weight needs to be lost. People can either pay a monthly fee or they can be sponsored by their employer, insurer or local NHS trust.


Data published today on 745 dieters found people lost more than a stone on average (7.2% of their body weight). This was more than double that of traditional dieters in a control group (5.5lb).


The results include 402 people sponsored by NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent Primary Care Trust as part of a pilot, 36% of whom were men.
Only one in 10 of the dieters joined a weight loss group to reach their goal and just 24% belonged to a gym. Most (66%) succeeded on their own by eating more sensibly and taking moderate exercise.


Weight Wins does not prescribe a specific method for weight loss but offers practical tips and "daily tick sheets" for dieting and exercise, validated by NHS dieticians. Its founder, Winton Rossiter, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with these results, which suggest that long-term financial incentives could be the best single weapon in the war on obesity."

Hi there all,

Like most people I am flabbergasted on the events which happened in the UK recently.

Its seems the UK seems to be a one man war zone in UK countryside.

What possess this one to go on a rampage killing 11 people and injuring 25 only he and his demons can answer.

The obvious shock is that this something that you expect to happen in the US as the gun laws are very different, not in rural countryside in England, but it just shows that when a person is hell bent on killing there are no discriminating factors.

Does this mean we will have even tighter guns laws?

Whatever way we look at this if someone wants to commit a crime such as this, they will find away!

My thoughts to the familes of this tragedy !
