Arrived!

Hey peeps,

So as I like to share my experiences with you on my travels, this one is no exception!

After a tedious and unexpected check in issues at the airport, for which they charged me £40 for checking my baggage.....I will dwell on this no more!!

The flight was pretty full, as it was only an hour, I decided to get some shut eye!

On arrival at Cologne, my friend met me and we took to exploring the city.

As my first trip to Cologne, I will say that I was pleasantly surprise, on first impressions its very cosmopolitan , the. usual shops, be it high street or high end is available.

We went to a local tourist hot spot the Dom- a cathedral that is over thousands of years old!

I am not a church chic, but the architecture was AMAZING!.

We then headed to ERPLIR LIY, as it was the top of the hill we overlooked the river Rheine, it was AWESOME! ( See picture attached )

Having explored Cologne and then Bonn, we headed to the cabin in the forest, my home for the next few days !

It was like stepping into a time warp.....

I was struck by the sheer munificence, of the view, tranquillity and the quietness.(See image attached )

I saw my first live young deer not enclosed in a zoo, the constant chirping of birds and the array of noise that filtered through in the forest evening as part of the ambience was relaxing to say the least.

Needless to say I slept like a baby.

I awoke feeling refreshed and after a hearty german breakfast, its time to head out!

Today is funfair day!
