Raving Aftermath!!!

So I finally made it...

I am awake and alive at 9.30pm on a Sunday evening ready to start my day, as I was in recovering mode from partying to some old skool music till the early hours of the morning.

Over the last few weeks I have been singing the praises of TRACEY CAMPBELL!

Well she lived up and stepped up last night at the HALO!.... Part 2 was just as exceptional as the part 1.

I was with a group of people who remembered what raving was like back in the day, the age group ranged from as young as 18 to an endearing couple in their fifties... that looked so good, I wanna be like them when I get to their age.

The concept of "Live Rare Groove" is awesome and something that is needed on the music scene, lately my ear drums has been tested to the point of no return to what the music scene has to offer but what I can only described as howling ......

So it was refreshiung to get dressed up , hang with friends, listen to musicians that play/ sing music with such passion that it stirs the blood in your veins and you just have to move with the beat - and as you do; you realise that its not just you, but everyone else is reliving that vibe with you too :)

I will say it again, Tracey Campbell and her crew are here to stay they have hit on a niche in the market and will do well, I for one will look forward to their next one ( travel permitting )

This was just a snippet .... apology for the camera not being steady, but when Tracey started to sing a shiver ran through me ... and you know what!!! - she was just warning up .

The RARE GROOVE LIVE CREW I salute you, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and from the feedback I received you made a lot of people happy last night.

The venue was packed, the vibe was nice and even though it ws hot, the people were PARTYING.

What made my night was " If this world were mine " was being sung and a young couple just held each other oblivious to a room full of people and just danced like they were in the world alone.......sweet!

That is what raving should be all about ........

Until da next tyme !

Old Skool Partying!!

hey peeps,

I am gonna have to take it there....

Who can remember the following :

  1. You went to rave/party and didnt leave till the brids were singing in the morning

  2. You went to the rave/ party looking kriss and fresh with the new hairdo, and teh wicked outfit, but by the time you leave, the sweat was pouring/ oozing from the skin, and the hairstyle was non existent - no shame in admitting it people :)

  3. People in the rave/ party was never scared to talk to each other and socialising was fun!

  4. The vibe in the party was all about PARTYING!!! not the stand up and gaze crew

  5. You found your spot for the night and nothing would make you leave it ... not even to go to the toilet!

  6. The spot that you found was wallpapered when you arrived, and yiu made your home for the night - when the party was over... there was a HUGE spot on the wall where the wall paper is no longer on the wall LOOOL!
Well if you can remember all that .... then you need to head to the Halo bar on October 10th, 317 Battersea park road.

Rare Groove live is back !

So here is the menu
  • 2 Litres of rare rare, rare groove from the botton of the record box- that is how deep we are going !

  • A very healthy serving of musicians singing the old skool tunes LIVE

  • Throw in a pint and half of exceptional talent ( Tracey Campbell plus many more )

So tell me you are gonna miss this because.........

Will see you there!

UK Talent

Hey peeps,

I just had to drop a quick update to you all.

For years I have known that the UK has great talent and I have been singing its praises, but tonight it was fully defined to me.

I had the pleasure of seeing an artist performed at the HALO , when she sang, her voice touched the depths of my heart........

TRACEY CAMPBELL!!!

This is the name that that you must look out for in the future, remember that I told you first!!!

Tracey has been one of the UK undiscovered talent for some time.... and for this I am shocked as she is such a natural talent, I can sum up and experience all the greats in her style... from Aretha, Whitney, just to name a few and she has her own sytle and twist.

When she sang this evening she demanded and held the room's attention and very few artist are capable of commanding that amount of adulation !

I am now a fan and fully belive that she has a very very promising future within the UK and cant wait to hear her again.

Join me at her next performance on Oct 10th at the HALO, 317 Battersea Park Road, London.

I will be the one at the front :)

The Halo

Hey y'all

I am finally going to share ..... I think it has been wrong of me not to do so sooner !

For years I have been hiding in my own private little venue in my corner of the world away tucked away in Battersea away from the hustle bustle of the West End.

In this world , my own private bar, my own private oasis, where I am known by name and greeted like a long lost friend everytime I visit.

From comfy sofas, grand piano, exciting cocktails a wide range of musical decadence to sweeten any musical palate, to an array of artistic visual display, I have decided to share with you my peeps my quiet place ..... THE HALO

If you are looking for that home away from home, to listen to good live music with a social and relaxing vibe, then make a stop right here. The friendly atmosphere, the relaxed lighting, the exotic feel is what makes me think each time I step through the doors , that this is my HALO.....
